Leslie Jo Grissom was last seen in Vance County, North Carolina, in July 2007. Her twin sister, Joni, is still looking for her. The Missing Twin follows Joni's search, one short episode at a time.

When Leslie disappeared in July 2007, her car disappeared too: a four-door burgundy Honda from the early '90s. Then her DMV record turned up a second car Joni knew nothing about, a gold coupe. Neither has ever been found.

They Closed Her Case Because Someone Saw Her Twin

Five days after Leslie was reported missing, her case was closed. Her twin sister Joni says it was closed because someone spotted Joni, not Leslie. She says an officer followed her home, confirmed it was her, and the case stayed closed anyway.

Three-Way Call

The day Leslie was declared missing, Joni says she got a disturbing three-way call from Leslie's boyfriend and his mother: “She was just a problem, and she didn't need to come back.”

July 7, 2007. Police officers at Joni's door tell her that her twin sister, Leslie Jo Grissom, has been reported missing. Joni remembers search parties, a news broadcast, one newspaper article. Then silence.
